Save these 2018 dates!
In January, we started our historical display of the 20 decades of Methodism in Fairfield in the Educational Building downstairs hallway. You are invited to add your historical connections and story to our story of life and faith in Fairfield. Please help us with our story. Copies of notes, photos and newspaper articles can be added by you anytime during the year to the display board for the decade it happened.
On Sunday, June 24, we will have an old-time summer celebration with a dinner after church and an afternoon concert featuring the Independent Silver Band playing music from the 1880's to the early 1900's. You are invited to dress in period costumes for the occasion if you want. Attire from 1818 to 2018 would all be appropriate. A time capsule will be buried on the church grounds that day.
Sunday, Oct. 14 will be our main event for the year! Bishop Frank Beard is scheduled to preach during the morning worship service. Former clergy and staff and their families, past members and all family and friends of FUMC are invited to attend. A dinner will be held after worship.
